Meet The Artistic Director Team

Becky Podlogar worked as a Labor & Delivery Nurse for 23 years before changing careers to the world of Theatre Management. She has managed almost 50 productions in the last 7 years. Currently the Director of Operations at Sunrise Theater, her love of the community, making magic on stage, and producing joyful events for all, is part of her daily work.

She has worked on numerous productions in all aspects and has served as Director, Stage Manager, Sound Designer/Engineer, Lighting Designer/Engineer, Set Design/Construction, Technical Director, Costumes and Prop Master. Her passion for the arts and creating a nurturing, loving, inclusive and compassionate space to create art for actors of all ages is of utmost importance to her.

Stuart Rose has worked in the theatre industry for almost two decades. He has served as Director, Technical Director, Sound Designer, Lighting Designer, Set Design/Construction, Costumes and Prop Master, Foley Artist, and Playwright.

 

He has worked for multiple cruise lines as Deck Chief and as an Automation Operator for Disney Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line. He has also worked in theatres throughout North Carolina from high schools to Temple Theatre and Cape Fear Regional Theatre, most recently taking a position with The NC School of Science and Mathematics' Theatre Department.
